Who we are

The Association of Future African Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgeons is a Pan-African organization established to recruit, engage and prepare passionate medical students and young physicians interested in cardiothoracic surgery and cardiovascular medicine. The aim of the organization is to increase early exposure to the field, provide educational tools, offer networking opportunities, career opportunities and create a community of peer mentorship and collaboration among its members.

What we do

Education

We providing educational materials and resources in cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular medicine and global cardiothoracic surgery in the form of webinars, toolkits and other relevant materials

Advocacy

We advocate for cardiothoracic surgery, cardiovascular medicine, global cardiothoracic surgery and gender equality through social media platform, hosted events and other education activities.

Research

We strengthen or provide members with research skills and promote research in various areas of cardiothoracic surgery and related specialties.

Mentorship

Faculty members (comprising of renowned cardiothoracic surgeons within and outside and distinguished professors in the field) provide mentorship to proactive students, general practitioners and residents.
